Well, here we go again.  My second rescue.  I have a feeling that he is going to be the next addition to the Lilley Pad.  He's a wonderful little eight month old cocker spaniel, neutered, shots, complete with own bed, food, toys, everything you could ask for.

I got a call from a friend asking if I could help them out. The couple had split up and the fellow moved into an apartment that didn't allow animals. He had to move immediately and this was all that was available.

I, of course, said sure I would look after him until he found a different place to live or I adopted him out from my place.

Well, this little heart stealer didn't long in making himself at home here.  We had a few problems with bathroom habits, but that comes with newness and surroundings.

After Callie and Teddie got over the initial shock on another "intruder" they started to play with him and he was really doing a good job of giving them exercise.  He would play Tug of War with Teddie, and chase Callie around the house and do the play thing.  The cats scattered to all parts of the house and have only been seen lately. Once they stood up to Ruffles, it was okay.

Ruffles has now been here for one and a half week as of October 31, and he has become very, very attached to the dogs.

I am half heartedly looking for a new home for him.  I probably shouldn't even think of keeping him - after all, seven is plenty, but maybe "Eight is Enough".

Well, alas, Ruffles has a new home.  :(  But on the other hand, Ruffles is very, very happy in his new home. :-) His new home is right on the ocean, and is right at home with his new Mum. Daniel, her 18 year old son, loves to take Ruffles for walks, and plays all the time with him.

Ruffles decided to join us at Pet Pics With Santa for SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.

I have some new pictures of Ruffles.  I dog sat him one weekend and I had to take pictures of him while he was raising Cain and reeking havoc at the Lilley Pad.  NOT.

He behaved himself like the true gentlemen he is that I might even look after him at Christmas time while his "mum" visits her Mum in Ontario.
