It is with great sadness and sorrow that I am move Teddie's page to "My special Angels".
It has taken me a long time to cope with her very sudden death.
She crossed Rainbow Bridge on Friday, March 29, 2002, (Good Friday)
Teddie very suddenly developed a deterioration of her vital organs.
She had been losing weight but I didn't realize it was a sign of her deteriorating health.
It was so gradual, I thought perhaps she was just on her own special diet.

It is still very difficult for me to talk about Teddie's passing.
She was a very very special friend to me and I loved her with all my heart.
I was not ready to lose her and the doctors did all they could and more to help her out.  But it was not to be.

Callie and I visited her at the vets and the staff was surprised how she perked up when we arrived and they hoped for the best.  She would run across the floor, iv lines trailing in her wake, and want up in my lap.

Her organs began to shut down and I knew in my heart of hearts that she wouldn't be coming home again.

As I look at her pictures and in her eyes, I can see how sad they are.  I thought it was because she didn't like getting her picture taken.  If only I had read the signs earlier but she wasn't an old dog, she didn't appear to be ill and there was no change in her personality or habits.

Here are my 1999 Pet Pics with Santa photos. Boy, I sure looked my prettiest, didn't I!

And looked who showed up to have his picture taken with us. That silly Ruffles. He told me he was so very happy in his new home and he even remembered me and wanted to play.

Mum even got into the act. She had to be Mrs. Santa to get us all in the picture. (She sure hates getting her picture taken!!)

This is Reko. He is a SHAID Adoptee.
Can you believe that his previous owners wouldn't let him come in the house and
kept him chained outside all the time. He is finally starting to trust people, but is still very shy.

Teddie's Hugs Award will no longer be available,
but I will probably be making up a memorial award for her in the future.

Last May (1998), I was turned into SHAID Tree Animal Shelter as my owners didn't want me anymore.  When the lady was pregnant with her first child, they gave me to her father. Then when she was pregnant with her second child, her father was ill, so there I landed. I don't understand why because I love children and everyone else.

Luckily for me, Mum met me one day, fell in love with me, brought Callie out the next day to see if we got along, and then I went to my new home. Callie is my best buddy and I love everybody here - even the cats.  Although they don't pay too much attention to me.  I just mind my own business and that works just fine.

Isn't this just the most wonderful picture of "Sam". Rosie painted this especially for me as I reminded her of her "Sam"
My very own special picture. WOW. I'm so thrilled.

This picture was taken just shortly after I was adopted. We are at the animal shelter waiting for the local bikers to return from their annual bike run. They always bring us lots of food and some money too. They brought enough dog food for six months, cat food for one month and $700 in cash. WOW.
We just love these guys and girls.

This picture was taken the same day, by one of the shelter staff, and is the cover of our 1999 SHAID Tree Shelter calendar.

We're the "Calendar Girls"

Callie and I just love to play tug of war.  That poor toy was pulled, twisted, tugged and chewed for months. I usually win these contests 'cause I'm stronger.

I'm trying to look innocent - Mum usually knows something is up when I look like this.

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus.
Boy, Santa sure is a nice guy. We had a good time taking pictures of pets with Santa and raised quite a bit of money last Christmas.  I think it was something like $700 for only one days work.  Mind you, we didn't do much of the work - except to look cute, which wasn't hard to do. We're BABES.

Well, here we are at the beach.  Callie may like running on the beach, but I prefer the shade of the car.  The back door wasn't open so I couldn't climb in the back seat which is custom made for us doggies.

One time I was so anxious to get into the car, I got into a stranger's car.  Good thing they liked dogs.

Here are some before and after shots. Although I think I look cuter with my fur long, I must admit it sure was cooler this summer with all that fur clipped off.

I look lost, don't I. But I'm just looking to see who's coming in Gram's driveway.

She held a garden walkabout for SHAID this summer. She wants to have more next year. Do you want to see some pictures of her garden. Gram now has her very own web site. My Mum did it up for her. My Auntie Coral (she really loves us too) has her own website too. Check them out. What do you think??

I'm a little greedy when it comes to these bones.
But I have to guard them or Callie will come and just take it away!!!
What's with that!

Well, I don't know about you, but chewing these bones
is just exhausting!

I didn't do it!!!
Callie must have, cause I am a good dog.
